Do you mean you've tried replacing the bulb and it didn't work? If so, did you check the fuse? Last resort is going to be a wiring harness replacement - many Volvos of this era had their stock ones replaced early in their life as they caused blown bulbs.

Also, 2000 is the last year of the prior body style. The new body style (P2) went on sale in 2000 as a model year 2001 car.

For detailed technical help you should post on the V70 forum at www.swedespeed.com, www.brickboard.com, or www.vvspy.com (there are many others as well.)

Good luck.

Do you live in North America? You mentioned that you have the new body style but a 2000 model year car. I don't know about areas outside North America but here the new body style (P2) went on sale in 2000 as a model year 2001 car (we had a 2001 V70 T5 for a few years.)

Live in holland. And it was a early diplomatic sale. It was one of the first P2 V70s. Probably one of the first 10000.

Understood. We bought our 2001 V70 T5 in May 2000 as I recall (I once bought a '98 S70 T5 on April 1st of 1997.) Volvo does goofy things with their yearly cycles here in the U.S.

No all manufacturers do. Read Car and Driver and you will see that most new cars that come out after midyear are labeled as next years model.
