You have to go thru the LS/VTEC conversion.

Yeah but it's not exactly the same on a D series, and you would still have shit for HP.

Yea, it's most likely not worth it to put a SOHC VTEC head on a SOHC non vtec block. Especially the LX and EX. There wasnt much of a HP difference anyways between the two.
