If I want to install some cams, I understand that the ECU "must" be reprogrammed.

Is the 98 Primera ECU programmed identical to the US G20 ECU or they are different. I am asking this because the JWT cams are in my future modifications, and was thinking if the Primeras sent to Panama have different programs in their ECU compared to the US G20 or European Primeras.

Our dealership says that the Primera comes from Japan. Is there any information that helpīs me know what car I really have? Maybe the VIN number.

Thanks

I think you'd have the same problems that the 98 200SX SE-R guys have. JWT doesnt' make an ECU for them either.

You can install S3 cams without an ECU. I've been running mine for over a year now and have had no problems.
