What do people think of the standard 6 in the mid-late 1990s and till 2003?Personally not ever having been in a V8 when it was launched i would say the 6 in great.Today my dad in our 1997 base stock falcon with 4.0L inline six my dad gunned it harder than ever 40-120 in about 3 secs at 5 1/2 thousand rpm.the cars sounds great at this speed and rpm.But wat do u all think of it?:bananadie

from the EA to the EL the stock falcons had a steady 0-100km/h sprint.
From The EA it was 8.5 but in your EL it was 8.7 seconds.
Yes They Are An Excellent Engine With Good Torque And Exceptional Reliability.

Those figures are way off. EL did around 9.2 to a 100. EA would have been ever slower. EA engine was a loud petrol guzzler compared to EL.
