Hello all,

Just wondering where my overdrive adjustment is for the kickdown? At 50mph, it takes to much pedal to downshift. I have all terrain tires on there and according to the dealer this is the reason it shifts into OD so quickly and takes more gas to come back out and downshift. Tires are bigger.

He adjusted it slightly, but it needs more. Anyone tell me where this is located?

Thanks in advance.

there are 3 linkages that go to the caberator cam. the accelerator pedal, the cruise control and the trasemissoin kick down linkage. there is no adjustment, but you can bend the linkage slightly. If you go to far the trany wont upshift at the right points. check for vacuum leaks before you adjust the linkage.

HI, THE CHANGE IN TIRE SIZE IS WHAT CHANGED YOUR SHIFT POINTS , IF YOU CHANGE OR BEND LINKAGE YOUR TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT IN AND OUT OF OVERDRIVE CAUSING YOU MORE HEADACHES DALE jeepman600@aol.com :smokin:

I went from a 225 to a 245 width. Kept the same diameter although the AT's have a slightly higher lug I didn't think this would make such a big difference.
