Just bought a 1996 LE Camry w/ 115k miles and I just discoverd that whenever I tried to turn on the cruise control nothing happens in the dash. (i've already got a 92 LE w/ cruise so i'm familar with how it should operate) I tried setting the cruise even though the dash light was not on but still nothing. Any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated.

hm... i was playing with my crusie control on the 96 LE i just got 76k i was driving about 35mph i clicked the cruise. the dash lighted up and everything and i let go of the gas but i just noticed the speed kept droping but as a slower rate then normal.

Jayhalk, look for a loose or disconnected connector on the C/C actuator next to the battery and just behind the radiator. Easy to forget.
