Building a 73' 455....

well i got this 73' 455 out of an old 98..wich was toast so i was figuring i would fix it up and put it in sumtin my question is any suggestions as to what to put into the motor to crank out more horsies :D but with a modest budget say a few thousand....im puttin it all togeather my self so...if you have any sugestions/prices on sum good stuff plese let me know and i would be vary grateful on any replies....:D

Use cylinder heads from a '68 to '70 455. They are higher compression with better ports.
If you can afford them, look at Edelbrock's new aluminum or iron heads. They are great. Just rebuild the engine and use the Edelbrock heads and appropriate camshaft and valve gear.
