I've just come back from a short vacation and on the way home have run into these new problems.....

>the cooling fan relay is bad...fan kept running> now...not at all...have a new relay but there are no relays next to the battery in the "black box" marked cooloing fan....just a square fuse...(replaced it)....so where might this new relay go.....help!!!

>Interior lights won't go off after i lock the doors with the remote (or otherwise)....i have to keep them off by turning the knob to the off pos...???

>the cold/hot dual climate control problem i can fix....thanks to some reading and posts from members..." Thanks" (blows heat from pass side not drivers)

>weird noise from the tailgate when i lock the doors and unlock?

the relay problem is the biggest....i really need this fixed asap...my only car...and i can't drive it....3 kids and i can't get anywhere!!!!!

Please help asap....thanks a ton in advance!!!

I have tried to find a fan relay for a 99 cherokee and could find one, but i did find a switch, sending unit, is that what you have, something that screws in (to the block)? I admitt im not familiar with 99 modle but it seems fishy that i cant look one up.

Not sure on the 99' but the 95' also has a fuse compartment on the passenger side of the dash. It's flush with the door if the door were closed. Not sure if the 99' has it. Good luck.

Found this in another forum:
"The relay is on the right side [passenger] under the battery behind the head light somewere . Not sure of the correct way to git to it but it's rear pain. The dealers figure 2 hrs labor for it. The Haynes book shows were it is but not how to git to it."

to access the cooling fan relay , you can either remove the ps headlamp and bumper cover, or remove the headlamp and use a holesaw to make a access port to the relay ..
good luck!
