Does anyone know how to take off a stubborn O2 sensor that has rounded off edges? I can't start the car because I messed up the old O2 sensor. I tried a O2 sensor socket but that's what rounded off the edges. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!

vice grips is your best bet. Get some stuff called PB Blaster, its a white can with a bunch of writiing on it and a yellow cap at parts stores. Let it soak for a few hours and it will probably come out with the vice grips.

i took mine out by 1st spray n it with some WD-40. i used a 3/4 inch(i think thats the size, not too sure) open wrench and stuck a pipe on the end of it in order to get more torque action going. it came out with no problem. since u stripped the edges, ur gonna have probelms. only suggestion is to use a vice grip or maybe a monkey wrench and attach a pipe at the end of it so u have more leverage/torque. but the monkey wrench might strip it even more.

those O2 sensor sockets are a waste of time IMO. u can get the sensor off by using an open wrench.

Well, I finally got the car to start. Found out that the fuse for the ECU was blown. Now all I need to do is get the O2 sensor off.

Well I finally got it off. Took forever because the thread was messed up on the O2 Sensor. I used vice grips, WD-40, and PB Blaster and heated up my engine to take it out. It took me forever though around 20-30 mins. Thanks for all your help.
