power window, door, and general electric problems

I installed a new 4 way amplifier in my jeep grand cherokee and ended up making my power windows and power door locks inoperable, there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the wiring itself, I've checked all of the areas that were installed around and none look to have any problems. none of the power windows work, and the unlock button works, but the lock button only works if the car or electricity isn't on, the power windows never work. I've tested the switches and there is a 12v current running to them, but a yellow and brown wire doesn't give me a completed circuit with a tan wire which I have deemed the power wire. Any of you have wiring diagrams? What could cause an electrical problem like this only when the power is on? I keep thinking it's a problem with the ground somewhere, but I don't know what wire is the actual ground and I don't think I'd be able to get a voltage meter to work if the ground wasn't attached somewhere. I don't think anything is crimped or cut in the door boots, and I'm relatively sure the door wiring harness is ok. I'm at my wits end, ideas anyone. or if you live in San Diego and have an idea or want to take a look then stop on by.

disconnected and reconnected battery terminals, power doors work now but windows are still jacked, doesn't look to be a wiring problem, seems electronic, ideas?
