i think i read that 3rd gen integra seats bolt right in. how about del sol's? do they feel better than the civic seats? i dont want something that is too low or anything.

my seat got twisted when i was rear-ended and the left side is all thrust foward so it hurts my back. i want to know if there is something different i could do.

also if any of you have done this how much did the seats cost? a civic seat from a salvage yard here is about $100. thanks.

Well Rice-Rocketeer has Del Sol seats in his 5th gen hatch, and from what I understand its a bolt in affair. Let me warn you though that YES they do make you feel better in the car... has a much tighter padding so you dont like melt down into the seat, it hugs your body in more... BUT, if you are like me and tall... Im gonna be honest its going to make you feel older ALOT quicker! I dont know if Rene's car is lowered much but with the seats in there every time I go to get out it feels as if my ass is on the ground and like I have to throw my body out the door... lol! Im not saying it is bad, they are HELLA nice seats... but its a little differant then just stock. So be warned if your car is low and you got big long legs... (so you know im 6' 2" )

the civic to del sol seat conversion is a piece of cake, you're probably looking to pay about the same for del sol seats as you would civic seats in your area.

Here's the installation....

he is right....they aren't very "large" person friendly....they give you a very race-seat-like feel, but a little more comfortable then most racing seats. If you aren't an extremely large person and you can get a good deal on the seats I strongly suggest this install....i actually just got some del sol seats that i'm having reupolstered.

Well the seats that can actually be bolted on with minimal work, Teg seats including GSR and Type R. del Sol seats, 6th gen civic Si seats and aftermarket sport seats with sliders. Other seats can made to be fit by altering the sliders like the S2000 seats, RSX seats, most hondas. Then you can weld the seats rails of the seats to your chasis and transplant any seat from ALMOST any car you can imagine.

The del Sol seats are my personal fav considering they're one step down from the Type R Recaro's. They do sit lower but it just depends on what you want. At first, they kinda give you the race car feel. But after you get used to them, you just enjoy the hug and smoothness of the felt. You get used to the hieght.

I have Integra GS-R leather seats in my 5th gen hatch and they bolted right in... except for the rear bench... but that's not a biggie. These seats do cost a lot though... I'm a very special case that got them for pretty cheap by pure luck.

My friend is even luckier. He has his 2 front seats swapped out for Integra Type-R seude seats. But it's cool... I happen to like the GS-R seats better.

As I was saying... *ahem*... I have the GSR leathers in my 5th gen and here's a few pics of them after I installed them. Don't mind the dirty marks... those are from my hands when installing... the dirt came right off.

I know that 3rd gen integra front seats bolt right into a 5th gen civic, but what I've been wondering is whether the rear seats from an integra will fit into my 5th gen hatch.
