86 wagovan has a barking AT. 84 wagovan has a good 5-speed trans. Will the 84 trans mate up to the 86? I'm not afraid to make the swap but need to know if parts match. Any takers? Thanks

i don't know for sure but i think they will, the wagovan transmission is slightly different than the regular civic trans i think but thats not an issue for you. if you post at http://www.redpepperracing.com/forums/ you should find someone who will know for sure. that's a site dedicated to the 84-87 honda's

Thanks for the post. I followed your suggestion late last night and before I could get offline i got a response from someone who made good sense. I have the donor transmisson on the ground and hope to have it stabbed into the 86 by next weekend.
