Thank all of you who took the time to respond to the question about Rear light failure on the dash display, My daughter has lived with this for over a year and even a dealer told her it was because she had the wrong bulbs (NOT JEEP)which I found hard to believe, and oh how stupid you feel when you realize they are'nt talking about only the Brake and tail lights.
She had 1 liscense plate and one center brake ligh out, So unless you are familiar with the grand cherokee how would you know there are three bulbs in the center brake light and 2 in the liscense plate, and they all have to be working (if only the dealer had said that)or the display on the the dash continues to say rear light failure, Any way thank you guys for sharing your experiences, this Automotive Forum is really great for information and finding people with similar problems. Another of lifes little mysteries solved !.
