Hello And Help!
My jeep gives the following codes 24,25,24,24 in that order. It hesitates on starting and around 55 mph. Also overdrive no longer functions. Replaced the TPS and no change. Any Ideas?
Thanks

Hi,
I've been working on my idling problem for a while.
See this thread :
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=294140&highlight=error+code
Usually I did not have an error code indicating me any way to go, that means I mostly had code 12 and then 55 so no problem.
Still not believing that I couldn't fix my idling problem I uninstalled the IAC (I had put a new one in 2 months ago). I cleaned the carburator with spray and put the IAC back in. I also put new spark plugs in Saturday. So far the car works fine, but I need to wait two weeks to be sure if the idle problem got better.
What's interesting though, that now that I touched the IAC, I've got a 12, 25 code; it does NOT finish with 55! Is that normal ?
Is "25" the same thing on my GJ'95 "IAC wiring problem" as indicated here for the '97?
This almost looks like there could be an isolation problem on the wires, or could this possibly happen as a side effect when the engine management needed to recalibrate itself after I put the IAC back in?
Your help is apreciated :-)

HI , YES THE CODE NUMBER IS FOR 91-95 DID YOU TRY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY FOR 5 MIN TO SEE IF IT WILL CLEAR THE CODE OUT. HAVE YOU HAD THE ENGINE CLEANED WITH POWER WASHER LATELY. THIS CAUSES TROUBLE WITH SENSORS GETTING MOISTURE AND SHORTING OUT. DALE [email protected] :nono: :smokin:

Thanks Dale.
No I did not disconnect the battery yet. I will do this next week and report back if the code is gone.
I did not wash the engine, but I washed the carburator body with lots of spray. I guess you're right, this may have caused the code.
I only found it strange that ther was no 55 code at the end like: 12, 25, 55.
I'll get back with an answer next saturday,
thanks for the help!

Hi Daele , you were right.
I disconnected the battery for 5 min and the codes are gone now. I only have the regular 12, 55 now.
So it was likely from the spray..
thanks

My code 25 issue has been solved! It aparently was moisture in the engine management module. See this thread :
