I was the tormented owner of a Toyota Town Ace 1992, 2lt tur/die/4x4.
I loved and cherished it for around a year untill the first over heating episode. after that i lost all faith in it. In total it over heated 3 times not including the skin of teeth escapes. Also black smoke poured from the exhaust, especialy going up hill. Any way 3 1/2 years later i have traded it in for a Bongo with camper roof and i love it. it's amazing how much attention it has generated among friends and family. One mate ran out and bought one for himself two weeks after seeing mine.
i have heard some say that they are sluggish but my 1997 4x4 goes like stink and cruise's like a roller. Im sure it will have it's hick ups along the way, but surely this aint gonna be a town ace in wolfs clothing.
