1973 Type-1 Steering Column Wiring Diagrahm

Hi ALL...,

I'm in the process of rebuilding a 1973 Type-1 Beetle and need any information and or assistance as to the correct steering column wire color coding for both the turn signal/headlight switch and the wiper switch which are both mounted on the steering column.

Any assistance that anyone can provide me would be most appreciated and Thank You in advance.

There's alot of wires in there. I suggest you get a manual. If you don't want to pay the money for a Bentley (which is worth every penny) then even a cheaper Haynes or Clymer would even have this info.

I got everything figured out this weekend. Did continuity tests on all steering column wires, ie. ignition, turn-signals, wipers, and labeled everything accordingly. It all now checks out OK!
