I replaced a brake light in my 1996 Camry and it works, but remains bright all the time when I am burning my lights. It does not burn dimmer like the other brake light when I am not applying the brakes.
The dashboard warning light to check my rear lights remains on.
How can I get the light to burn at the same intensity as the other light and brighten when I apply the brakes as it should? thank you

There is probably a broken wire, or a short near the rear harness that's located either on the rear deck lid, or beneath the speaker shelf. You will need to go through and check all of the wires. If there are no visible breaks in the coating or the wires, then check your fuses.
