Could someone explain what the function of the little button on the side of the gear selector does as mine doesn`t work. Does it act as a sport mode or does it just lock it into a gear. As my bongo is still under warranty is it worth getting it fixed.
Thanking you in anticipation

Hi,
I've got a handbook, and it says....
It's the Hold Mode switch - fixes the gear basically for driving down steep hills so you have engine braking, or on very slippery roads (campsites ?)
If you're in D, gear fixed at 3rd - but it also says it will drop to 2nd at slow speed.
If you're in S, gear fixed to 2nd
If you're in L, gear fixed to 1st.
On the other one about not being able to input car details - are you on Windows/Internet Explorer ?
cheers
Brian

Brian,
Off message I'm afraid, but is there any particular reason that you have not renewed your Bongo Fury membership? (You can tell me, I'm a Doctor......)

Thanks Brian for your help, picked up our Bongo on 25-5 04 after having Land Rovers for 23yrs, only chaged so i could take my motorbike away with us, was going to buy a Merc Vito van and then we got Bongoed, found out wot was wrong with the Hold button, the cable had become unplugged, been away twice with bike IN the back and caravan ON the back, and am pleased with the pulling power, thanks once again
