Reverse Sensor Malfunction 95 Camry

Hi... My reverse lights don't come on when I put my car in reverse - I checked the fuses and the bulbs - everything appears ok. It may be the reverse sensor that's malfunctioning - where do I find this sensor and how do I fix it? Thanks! - ahmad

Two things should be checked:
The sensor you refer to is probably the neutral safety switch.This is located on the transaxle where the linkage goes into it.There are tests for this procedure in a Haynes manual.
The second place to look is the wiring in the trunk at the hinge as this degrades the wires from moving when the trunk is opened.
