1999 Gcl

About 8 mos ago, my fan went out in my 1999 GCL, 4.0. We replaced the fan and it worked fine for about 8 mos. I was told it was the fan relay, but haven't been able to find it? Does anyone know where it is located? Also, what would be causing it to short out the fan entirely? The fan runs about $225 each shot, so I would like to know what is causing the problem before I burn out another fan...

Any help would be great...

the fan relay should be in the black box behind the battery. the cover should identify which one is the fan relay. usually the relay goes, not the fan
