Where are all the Dub Heads?Boss San 05-31-2004, 09:55 PM Is it just me, or is AF fairly devoid of poeple talking about VW's? New or old, air or water-cooled, there's never anyone talking about 'em on this site. Now I realize that there are a plethora of VW forums that cater to the Volkswagen people better than AF, but does that mean nobody can come here and discuss there idea's, questions and comments about them here. Rise up Dub nuts and make haste to AF, together we can unite in a bask of oil and worn out tyres! spasticone 05-31-2004, 10:41 PM I'm a Dub head since 13 years old when my 70 baja rolled into my driveway. After a pan off resto to that I've revived or worked over.... 3 rabbits (84 1.7fi, 83 1.7 carb, & 83 Gti, 2 more bugs (67, 71super), 1 Karman Convertable '70 2 Jettas (93, 97) And HOPEFULLY I can keep my current 92 passat alive for a few hundred thousand more miles:) I LIVE TO DRIVE THE VOLKSWAGEN. Boss San 06-01-2004, 06:10 PM Sweet. For the last four years I've been driving around an '86 Mk2 GTi, Tornado Red with about 300,000 miles on the body, about 35,000 on the engine, and about 30,000 on the tranny. I've been through hell and back a few times in it. Once you start driving one it is very hard to turn back. :sunglasse lost944 06-01-2004, 06:45 PM has anyone heard about putting a subaru engine in a vw? spasticone 06-01-2004, 09:35 PM There's a sight somewhere about putting a subie motor in a baja bug. some dude in australia. there's anotherome on a guy using a mazda engine.. Why would you want to desicrate a good vw with a subaru engine? Boss San 06-02-2004, 04:12 PM I've got a few poloroids of a Vanagon with a Subary Legacy 2.5l eninge in it. And I guess you can put it in a couple other VW's. If you think that's odd, check this out...
