I just bought a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, and so far, I love the car. I tested the six best Japanese compact econosedans for under 20K, all manual transmission, and all 2004 models: Toyota Corolla LE, Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V, Honda Civic EX, Mazda 3 s, Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, and Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS. I eventually had it down to the Mazda 3 s and Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, but I chose the Ralliart because the seats were more comfortable, the backseats and trunk were roomier, the shifter was more precise, and the ride was sportier. I got the car fully loaded with extended warranties (which kick ass by the way; 10 yr./100,000 mi. on the powertrain, 6 yr./75,000 mi. bumper-to-bumper) for $20,399. I'm having a ton of fun with it so far, and I'm proud to be a new Mitsubishi owner :sunglasse
