Power Locks making horrible squeaking noiceFeffer 05-31-2004, 01:51 PM Hello...this is my first post, not sure if anyone is experiencing this problem, but I thought I would ask. The back right passenger door lock of my 2000 Jeep GC Limited stopped working one day (nothing would unlock it, not even the key)...the next day, we tried to unlock the door, it did, BUT it made a horrible squeaking sound (very annoying, but the kids think it is hilarious). Anyway, my girlfriend in Ohio had the exact same thing happen with her GC, but it was a lease and she turned it in before she had it fixed, so I don't know what the problem was. Any thoughts?? nick capage 06-12-2004, 10:14 AM you need a power door lock aculator. very commen for this truck AZFlyingDiver 06-12-2004, 04:00 PM actuator Feffer 06-14-2004, 05:25 PM Thanks!! My Jeep (2000 JGC) was making a really loud squeek when the remote was hit but all the locks locked. I can't remember what the part was but I think it was around $200 or just under to fix it. sbest 09-16-2004, 06:06 PM Thanks!! Anyone have any idea (ballpark) how much it might cost to have it repaired? i would like to replace this part myself, is it difficult? And is there any documentation on the steps to follow? earmbru 09-17-2004, 06:45 PM I had mine fixed at the dealer. Sorry, I don't know anything about the time it takes or right now what was even wrong. If I come across the invoice I will post an update with the part name, #, etc. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
