This question would be for those educated or experienced in engine swap.

*Would a 6.0L slide into a 1500 light duty?
*What are all of the other components that would also need swaped?
*What would be an estimated cost of parts and labor?
*Would a Chevy dealer perform this swap for me?

I know it's a lot of questions but I'm curious. The V6 isn't cutting it anymore. Too much speed is never enough...

Not sure about the 6.0L swap...but I DO know that a 4.8L or a 5.3L will swap, as I did this to my truck. Like you said, the V6 just wasn't cuttin it anymore. The process is quite a hassel and if you aren't an experienced mechanic I wouldn't recommend doing it cause it a big pain in the butt. Anyway, I got a list of what it took to complete the swap. As for a Chevy dealership doing it, fat chance. They'd probably try to sell you a brand new truck with a V8.
