86 CRX SI pgm-FI light in dash clusterbpt323 05-30-2004, 07:32 PM what does it mean when the PGM-FI light in the guage cluster is on... what can i do to fix whatever problem i have.... also what can i do to fix the variable idle....reving up and down.... lxndr 05-30-2004, 08:14 PM The PGM-EFI light is coming on because your computer is trying to tell you that there is something wrong. Check the computer (under the passenger seat) and see if any LED lights are flashing. You will need a manual in order to figure out what the lights mean, or post which lights are flashing and how many times and someone should be able to tell you what it means. I'm sure that the PGM-EFI light and the reving problem are related. To reset the computer after you have fixed the problem, just disconnect the battery or pull the ECU fuse for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Here are a few links to threads that others have started with the same reving problem. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=123182 http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=210253 Hope this helps! bpt323 05-31-2004, 02:28 AM thanks... im about to strip down the CRX... i'll have alot of parts to clean out... im taking offers (the SI motor is going into the 1500s i have) if anyone is interested in some spare body parts let me know i've got 2 good black fenders... as well as cornerlights and headlights... front bumper is still reasonable... doors .... all interior panels.... has working non leaking sunroof... back hatch.... hood... side and rear glass..
