how to remove 96 speakers??

i just bought new speakers for my 96 civic dx and the only problem now is that i cant take the speaker grills off on the front doors and in the rear as well. Any help would be great thanxs!!

cant remeber for sure but you might have to remove the panels. it isnt hard, unscrew any handles, remove the window handle (there is a metal ring that holds it on,pop it off), get something behind the panel and unclip it.

you just put your hand underthe bottom of it...pull up for grip and out...they just pop out

whatever you do DO NOT take off you door panel. i had taken all the parts off of my door and gotten it about halfway off when i realized that the front grills just pop out. just get a screw driver, stick it in and pry. as for the rear, you do have to take off the whole panel but it is easy to do. do your rear seats fold forward? they do in the lx and all you have to do is kinda bend the edges in and up (hard to describe) but if you get the two sides where the seatbelts go in, the rest of it just kinda pops off
