Hey All,

I want to put in an auxiliary battery to maximize my tailgating opportunities :naughty: (playing the radio, pluggin in a TV, stuff like that) without running down the primary battery...

Any creative ideas out there where to put an auxiliary battery in a ZJ? I can't see an easy place in the engine compartment. Maybe there's somewhere under the chassis? Or above the wheel wells inside the cargo area?

TIA (thanks in advance) for the thoughts!!:ylsuper:

if you have the inside spare mount, there is some room between it and the back seat. A custom battery box with a vent for the gas and containment for any spill in a lead acid battery.

A "gel" battery would get around the spill problem

There might be enough room inside theframe back of the transfer case. a drive shaft safety loop might be a good idea for that location though.
