1996 Ga vs. 1996 Avenger

I have raced 3 of these. One was my friends, a stock I4 with like 140hp. I beat him with my 4 banger. The second was a I4 with a CAI and some other mods (i forget what he said-but he said it made like 155hp), i beat him too. Finally the other day i raced another I4. After i reaced him, i pulled into a gas station behind him and was talking to him, and he said his car was dyno'd at like 165 ( I dont remember exactly what he had in it, i guess a chip, CAI, exaust, and i dont remember what else). Where as my car is at like 150. I know these arent big defeats but they are for my 100% stock GA. Im wondering if with the last two, they were just bad drivers. Has anyone else with a 4 banger raced an avenger or a neon with the 2.0L?If so what were the results. Im wondering if those guys were just bad drivers or what.

I also race a stock neon when my car was stock I won.I've aslo raced a another neon with a little mods,he easily won.I have a feeling the second race was won because of a bad driver.They are alot lighter then out cars.

The avenger is alot lighter? I know the neon is. But is an avenger? I pulled up next to the avenger and it seemed bigger than my car.

Was any car manual?

No, otherwise im sure i would have been beaten.

I have a 1993 SE, with a 3.3 that is said to have 160. I've driven other cars which are newer, that are said to have 160, and 170hp.. and mine still has more power, and its all stock.. So horsepower isnt everything apparently.

Well I raced an older Avenger today with 2.5L V6. I smoked it off the line.

Yes, 3400 with auto(only available tranny).
I also have cat-back exhaust and intake.

Thats cool, my dad has a stock 02 se with the 3400. I havent raced anyone with that yet though, cuz its not my car. I wish it was though. :shakehead

i have raced many cars with my stock GA and i never lost...People say that GA are really slow but they have got nice tourqe and i was putting out 150hp with my stock engine.
