TII engine and drivetrain into non-turbo shellSoyo 05-26-2004, 04:58 PM anyone know what it would cost to put an S5 TII engine and drivetrain and all that into a S5 non-turbo shell? I know I'd need everything like the LSD and all that even so maybe tell me what all is needed if its not a hassle for you... I was thinking I asked this in another thread but I couldn't find it so sorry if you've answered this before J-Rat 05-26-2004, 05:29 PM depends on how cheap you can find the parts... Soyo 05-27-2004, 02:10 PM well I'm wondering how much labor is flex339 05-27-2004, 11:01 PM zero. you do it yourself and with a friend maybe Soyo 05-28-2004, 01:24 AM well its a daily driver so I can't have it sitting forever J-Rat 05-28-2004, 04:36 AM Better learn to do it yourself.. Soyo 05-28-2004, 11:47 AM well my cousin and my uncle just swapped an engine in a 240 and they pulled the tranny to put in a new clutch and they have offered to help me, but it took them 2 weeks cuz they are so busy and don't have a lot of time to work on it, and I even helped them like 4 different times, so I know we could do it. time is the only issue because like I said, its my daily driver Soyo 05-28-2004, 03:22 PM well I got some good advice from a guy on rx-7club so I might do it myself afterall, but I'm curious EXACTLY what is needed, I know you need the engine, tranny, ECU, wiring harness, and LSD. is that it or am I forgettig something? RB25240kouki 06-03-2004, 10:33 PM Well as you might have seen I drive an 89 GTUs with a TII in it... Unfortunaly I dont have much knowlage on the swap because the prev. owner swaped it when the NA blew. But I can tell you that my motor is hooked up to the N/A drivetrain. Now I have the 4.30 GTUs lsd but the tranny is not up to the job. As a matter of fact im doing a drivetrain project soon. New Clutch, flywheel, tranny (TII), and if the driveshaft doesnt fit then ill get one (TII drive shaft most likly) But I can find out who did the swap and get his email if you really want me too. Soyo 06-03-2004, 11:29 PM that'd be cool, thanks man vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
