Yes.

On stock internals: I wouldn't plan on it for long.

Ok, would it handle 300whp without many problems? Just fuel and turbo upgrades? Maybe a little extra.....on stock internals that is, would it still be reliable?

I read somewhere about stock internals holding up 13PSI on stock turbo, if you're ganna make gobs of power then plan on rebuilding the engine, if you don't wanna replace internals, don't plan on lot of power.

the stock turbo on the S13 redtop is only good to about 13-14 pounds any ways after that your just choking it

umm what about fuel management, 3' turbo back, filter? fuel pump, and regulator, boost controller, safc to tune everythin.. intercooler is just to drop down the temp of air a extermely big i/c will end up making you loss hp..

It definitely can. You will problably want to replace some key internal parts though. Pistons, cams, throttle bodies are minimal but ported and polished heads are definitely great horsepower builders. check out Gude's website.
Well hope i could be of some help. If you questions PM me.

mine has been making a lazy 260RWKW at 1.1bar for over two years now, for shows we wind in a little more boost 1.4bar and make close to 290rwkw all on stock SR20det bottom end. the only addition is HKS 1.2mm head gasket.

there i one in england with 600Hp. I dont kow anything about the upgrades though. If you pick up june or august issue of redline (Uk mag) you can see it.

there's a 240 over in toledo ohio that dynoed 396whp (25 shot of nitrous) with completely stock internals, INCLUDING stock head gasket. he's been driving the hell out of it for a good couple years with no probs around 16psi.

he says 400whp is the absolute limit for stock engine (with much tuning). after that you need a head gasket and ras, sleeves, cams, etc. thats the main reason im looking to max out between 320-340whp. after that it takes much money to maintain and replace a blown engine with engine components.. below 350whp it is still purty streetable.

im not completly sure if im correct but the stock turbo is only capable of 350 isnt it?

usuallly around 266rwhp

depends if you got a lot of misc mods, maybe like pulleys, cams, etc...on top of all the usual bolt ons for stock turbo and boost controller, maybe more.

Some had their stock s13 turbo modified into a Big28 and made 333rwhp at the absolute limit, but pretty decent consider that is still the stock turbo with some mods to housing and wheels.

yea, stock turbo maxes out around there. it loses it's efficiency past 14psi.

the guy who made those dyno numbers in toledo had a t04 turbo on it and standalone sds system.

this thread is almost 3 months old, but it doesn't really matter, just thought i'd give a heads up...

Yeah this thread is old but a little help from across the ocean!! If a daily driver with 300+ HP in a 180sx or 240sx, its quite easy. First see if you can dish out the money for an S14 turbine (big difference), 550cc injectors, and some 264 cams, and a lightly tuned ECU and there you go over 300hp. There are other roads too, like a Z32 MAF, a power fc, or e-manage, manifold (highly recommend), turbine outlet (highly recommend), remove your cat and add a straight pipe, have a metal shop weld up an exhust for you from the down pipe back. Metal Headgasketsintake manifold, and etc....

or you can go bolt ons... i have clutch/flywheel/underdrive pulleys/header/big exhaust/test pipe/ecu

should be good for about 270-280whp (14psi)... might cost a little more but its less fuel and less strain on the engine. im thinking with some 555's z32 maf, extra tuning and possibly a set of cams, i can hit 300whp on stock turbo.

maybe i just like doing things the hard way :)
