Y21 & S21

Hi guys... could anyone pls explain what is the difference between the Y21 gearbox and S21 gearbox???
I now got a S21 with my sol but it's totally fucked.... will the Y21 fit??

with the correct corrisponding linkage it should fit ...and its not really a gearbox...someone else on here recently called it a gearbox.. JEEPS and some Ford Trucks have gearbox's..were just good old trannys.... a gearbox is well...what it says...its located under the shifter and its the mechanism that actually selects and locks the linkage for the corrisponding gear

If I'm not mistaken, the Y21 and S21 were both used for the B16A transmission. I'm not aware of any differences between the two and all things considered, should just bolt right up to your motor without issues.
