Was wonderin what was the known or best recorded 1320 time on a Ka24det with no other upgrades besides the turbo on the engine itself on the 91+ s-13 or s-14, thanks

No other upgrades besides the turbo? So you mean like stock internals? No idea, because there are a lot of people running a turbocharged KA with stock internals. Greaser ran a best of like 12.8 on his with stock internals. Then he just added Ross pistons to it and upped the boost a little and ran a best of 12.5. This was with only about 280 whp.

The record holder though for the quickest built KA-T is still Duy with his 10.83 sec @ 131.96 mph

Most of the premade kits out there for the KA (nsport, xs engineering, fmax) all claim 280 whp at 7-8 psi. Greddy claims something like 220 whp with no fmic. Stay away from greddy kits.

Wow, thats pretty impressive for 7-8 psi's!
may I ask what those kits run? $ wise?

What's wrong with GReddy?

I've been reading the posts for a bit now and seem to encounter people not recommending GReddy. I'm leaning towards KA-T instead of SR, and heard that GReddy has a 50 state legal kit (not sure of the other companies b/c I just started researching).Either way, I'd like to know why peeps don't like/recommend GReddy. Maybe this is a topic for another thread....

Sounds like because they (Greddy) don't come with a FMIC?

Greddy kits are way overpriced. You can customise a kit for about 1/2 the price of Greddy kits and get a fmic.

But only Greddy will possibly offer CARB legal exemption... for 96-98 models... The main things wrong with Greddy is the price, and even then you don't get much with the kit. But, it's not like you pay Greddy's price anyway, since you'll be able to find it for much lower than what they are offering at places like Phase 2 or Hopup Racing, etc... Their kits are also rated at a much higher hp, but they list like 220-250 for safety/liability reasons.

BTW, FMIC is optional for another fee from Greddy... but you can definitely find a cheaper alternative for that.

i know GReddy sucks and everything. Back to the topic,
when turbo the KA, it gives more hp and torque than a SR turbo?

dude...your so asian.

theres no answer to your question. you cant compare a modifed engine to a stock engine.

if youre gonna slap a huge t66 on your ka24, then yeah, i guess, but thats not fair to the stock t25 sr20 is it?
