Hello. I was told in a different forum, that for a beginnera civic would be a nice car to start with. I heard its a good beginners car, and can be cheap to upgrade. Now, I was wandering what would be my best civic bet? What i mean is, which year civic and which kind. (dx, lx, etc). Im looking for something cheap.

Thanks..

92-95. Depends on the options you're looking for and what body style (Coupe, sedan, hatchback.) The EX and Si's have the faster 125hp motors in them. Why not go with an Integra? Faster stock motors, better to work off of they are.

go for a hatchback, light, do a swap and you will be pretty quick. Or find an acura gs-r.

If you et a civic, you probably want to start with an EX. usually a nicer body style. Manual. If you are learning to drive, you should learn to drive stick.

Everyone should know how to drive stick. even if the car you drive is automatic it is still good to know. If your friend is too drunk to drive and his car is stick, your spending the night, if someone has a heartattack and you cant drive but you are close to the hospital. you get what im saying, just learn how to drive it and you will benefit from it. Cause when my buddies started coming out with their winter turbo, nitrous, supercharged and everything else projects. there is only one question that has to be answered so you can drive. "Dude, can you drive stick?" ok im done.

tiny bit due to less power needed to spin the wheels auto tranny eat lil power but in civic its a big deal cause they make 45WHP.

A shift kit will help a ton i keep hearing up to .5 shaved secs on stock car in the 1/4 thats alot!
