Has anyone had trouble with the volume on the factory radio? it seams to take forever for it to turn down? this is the second factory radio installed on my car. the first radio(that came with the car) the volume knob was shot,and now i think this one is going too :banghead: ,i know i should buy a good quality radio but i just haven't gotten around to it, has anyone else had this problem?

I have a '97 and in the last year have had this problem. I usually can apply some lateral pressure to the volume post as I turn it and get some response. But, frequently have to roll down windows until a non-deafening level can be achieved.

I have a similar problem with my 97 Convertible where I go to turn it down and it goes up slightly or doesn't do anything. I find the lateral pressure works most of the time. Wondering if it may have to do with amp and the water I have had on the passenger side.

i have to pull out on the knob to adjust the vol. it seems that the spring is going up.

I have owned my 98 sebring jxi since new and and paid good money for it to and it pisses me that a car of that quality would have such a crappy stereo. I too have a volume knob problem and have gone through almost every problem mentioned on this site. my sebring has 58000 miles on it and am currently dealing with worn motor mounts and faulty powertrain control module. I have bought alot older cars with alot more miles and alot less problems for alot less money. who ever wrote the used car reviews for the 98 sebring JXI where idiots.

As far as the radio if you have the cd canger i can be difficult to find a aftermarket radio that is compatable with cd changer without paying out serious cash and I could car less super-powered car audio craze as if I could afford to buy my way into it anyway.
