celica Vs RSX91 Celica St 05-25-2004, 05:22 PM hey does anyone know if a celica st with a few mods 130Hp would beat a stock rsx, 160 hp (i think) the celica is about 3-400 pounds lighter 91 Celica St 05-25-2004, 05:23 PM oh its not an S type fugiot 05-25-2004, 06:18 PM no, it would lose pretty badly. matt11583 05-26-2004, 09:19 PM it would lose but i dont think it would be bad. i have never seen a rsx not type s race. so i dunno kno for sure but i kno an type s would kill it. 91 Celica St 05-27-2004, 12:08 PM oh, u know what an st runs stock, what about a gt, and gt-s? fugiot 05-27-2004, 02:55 PM Well, first of all, a 1991 Celica ST has 103hp. Not 130. Now, the Celica All-trac Turbo model is making 200hp and has AWD but it runs a 15.7 in the quarter JUST like an RSX base model. The Celica GT and GT-S are the ones with 130hp. The GT runs a high 17 in the quarter while the GT-S runs about a 17.6. So I'm guessing that the Celica ST runs mid-18's. That would definitely get spanked(and spanked hard), by a base RSX by at least 10-15 car lengths at the quarter mile mark. joebowlr21 05-29-2004, 02:39 AM what about those all-trac celica's.The 4wd turbo models, i kno they are rare but anybody got any numbers on those babies? fugiot 05-29-2004, 05:20 PM I just told you what they are 200hp 205tq 1/4 mi. = 15.7 seconds. 91 Celica St 08-18-2004, 12:31 PM actually ur wrong, st runs 16.9-17.1 Depending on conditions Gt and gts have same engine and run low 16's 16.2-16.8 and all tracks runs a low 15 15.2-15.5 JekylandHyde 08-20-2004, 03:57 PM 1990 Toyota Celica GT-S 17.6 1991 Toyota Celica GT Conv. 17.1 1994 Toyota Celica GT 16.4 1994 Toyota Celica GT Coupe 16.4 91 Celica St 08-20-2004, 05:14 PM hey jekyle u got that off this website didnt you, http://www.supras.co.uk/performance/cartimes.htm or some spawn or copy of it....yeah look at the mr2 numbers, or any other car, that website sucks....ive been to tracks now and seen gts, gt, sand ran my st.....the only one i havnt seen is a all trac but it soulb b about the same as mr2 turbo and ive seen those run (mr2 is rear wheel dirve but have mid engine, making weight distribution 50/50... i know u know hyde but for peopel that dont) 91 Celica St 08-20-2004, 05:18 PM 1990 Toyota Celica GT-S 17.6 1991 Toyota Celica GT Conv. 17.1 1994 Toyota Celica GT 16.4 1994 Toyota Celica GT Coupe 16.4 also funny how gt and gts have the EXACT same engine and gts is 100 pounds heavyer yet the runs 1.2 seconds faster, goes to show you how right that website is (yeah diff generations but same engine and tranny) 91 Celica St 08-20-2004, 05:21 PM oh n btw i beat the rsx, not by much, the front of his car was at my back tires.... goes to show you that a car thats 15 years younger and is toyota can still take a honda :) 91 Celica St 08-20-2004, 05:23 PM n btw i said 130 hp cuase tahts what id guess i have now, its probably more like 140-145 but im not over zelous JekylandHyde 08-20-2004, 09:08 PM 91 Celica St , that is not the site I got it from. Regardless, that sites's figures for the MR2 are accurate. SuperchargedGS 08-21-2004, 07:50 PM it really depends on the driver 91 Celica St 08-23-2004, 11:46 AM haha are u kidding, it says an mr2 non-turbo runs a 14.9 haha 2of9 08-25-2004, 03:22 PM thats pretty quick...well, my cuzin has a Type-S and he said he won by at least 5 car lengths against a Celica GTS. FikseGTS 09-04-2004, 02:39 PM here are some comparisons.... http://www.dragtimes.com/compare2.php?make1=44&model1=656&make2=1&model2=10 , 91 Celica St 09-07-2004, 12:58 PM rsx type s will beat a ceilca gts...weve stated this, unless of course the celica driver s better, fiveSFE 09-08-2004, 11:51 PM lmao, i doubt u beat a rsx, it is almost impossible to get 140 hp out a 4afe or 7afe, unless u have built the internals, and have nitrous or turbo or some sort of forst induction. i have raced an rsx and lost by about a car, no i seriously doubt u can beat one. and fugiot is right with his all track times for the track. u have to remember an all track is a very heavy car, and the times u probly have are when the car is brand new with a really good driver. fiveSFE 09-09-2004, 12:32 AM also the 92 and 93 5sfe motors are faster than the 90-91. the 93 5sfe engines are the exact same as the 6th gen. a 90 gt is a 5hp loss than the later 5th gens 91 Celica St 09-10-2004, 11:11 AM and 5 tq, you act like i dont know my motors u KID vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
