window crank re-installation

I've got a 96 civic and I repaired a door handle after a theft attempt, and the only thing I can't do is the stupid window crank. If anyone out there can help I'd appreciate it. I have the pin but can't figure out how to get it through those small slits. Thanks for the time...Ras

I get that pin so it is just sitting on the crank, but not all the way on, then I put the crank where it goes, and use a flat screwdriver to give the pin a poke, which pops it into it's locked position.

Are you refering to the C-clip? Sometimes you can go ahead and completely install the clip on the handle then pop the whole thing onto the splines coming out of the door. Although this only works if the splines are somewhat rounded at the end, otherwise use the flat screwdriver trick mentioned before.
