alright...well, my car(89 RX7 Turbo GT-X imported from japan) is sitting in bonded storage in vancouver due to a build date issue(built in july of 89...gotta wait till july to bring er in). in the mean time ebay pwns me...here is what I have so far

RB Full turbo back exhaust
RB Fuel Cut Defencer
1 pair 720 CC injectors
1 pair 1000 CC injecotrs
HKS PFC Fcon with GCC(had an SAFC...upgraded)
Walbro 255

my question is what should I be looking for next? what kind of boost can I now safely run assuming propper tuning of the Fcon? what kind of quarter mile times might I be capable of hitting?

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

do you have a boost controller? if not you'll wanna get one.

then upgrade the turbo and get a front mount intercooler when the moneys available

Fastest I was able to manage on stock turbo was 13.4

I am now running a Garrett 60-1. Dont have any 1/4 mile times yet. Had a small boo-boo during tuning which resulted in a cracked apex seal. New motor is in my garage awaiting transplant.

Here is the thread:

No major differences in HP for ANY market. A J-Spec is going to net the same HP as an A-spec. BTW, I am running a J-Spec.

so why does everyone brag about how they are doing a Jspec swap then?

J-Rat
05-27-2004, 04:11 AM
Beats me... Compression is the same, and the emissions controls are nearly identical. Who is bragging about it?

Go4Long
05-27-2004, 04:13 AM
well....maybe bragging is the wrong word...but people seem to be pretty proud of saying that they are swapping in a Jspec, and there was a thread on another board dedicated to some guys Jspec front clip...I was like wow...I am getting the whole car.

I would be proud of getting a true right hand drive J-Spec car. Thats cool!

that is a great 60ft time j-rat. The next time I go to the track I'd like to try to get low 2's. I haven't driven my car on the track yet. I did with my mustang, but I sucked off the line.

Thats one sweet ass ride!

thanks...I really hope it runs as nice as it looks...the only people that have driven it so far are the people from the exporter in japan and the shipping company that brought it to vancouver.
We are in the process of trying to move it from bonded storage in vancouver to storage here in calgary so that I can pick it up quicker in July. if we can make that happen we are going to get the shipping company to tell us how it runs in the process...

Be careful.. Shipping companies are notorious for ragging on peoples cars.

I know...I used to work for a couple different dealerships, it's funny how people honestly believe that if you pick your car up brand new from the dealership that it hasn't been bagged...sad dillusional people...the company that is shipping it out here for us is the same company that deals with all the dealerships in town...as much as I would love to think that they're mature enough to not bag on the car, I know if I was the driver, I would...so...just hope they don't break anything in the process...
