J-Rat 05-23-2004, 03:53 PM I wouldnt go above 10-12, the stock turbo just cant handle it.. Go4Long 05-24-2004, 11:30 AM and what sort of quarter mile numbers might I expect at say...11psi :P Soyo 05-24-2004, 12:27 PM do you have a boost controller? if not you'll wanna get one. then upgrade the turbo and get a front mount intercooler when the moneys available J-Rat 05-24-2004, 02:57 PM Fastest I was able to manage on stock turbo was 13.4 Soyo 05-24-2004, 05:00 PM hey J-rat what size turbo do you have now? and what times do you run now? Go4Long 05-24-2004, 07:16 PM is a manual boost controller ok? or is there some sort of specific one I should be looking for...I also have a TID...not that that makes a difference...just always forget something J-Rat 05-25-2004, 03:11 AM hey J-rat what size turbo do you have now? and what times do you run now? I am now running a Garrett 60-1. Dont have any 1/4 mile times yet. Had a small boo-boo during tuning which resulted in a cracked apex seal. New motor is in my garage awaiting transplant. Soyo 05-25-2004, 04:25 PM manual boost controller works fine Go4Long 05-26-2004, 07:52 PM J-Rat was that 13.4 on normal street tires? J-Rat 05-27-2004, 03:30 AM Yes it was. Go4Long 05-27-2004, 03:41 AM cool...thanks...now all I gotta do is add .5 second just because I chose to live in the frickin mountains:P I live in calgary alberta canada, which is I think like 3500 ft above sea level or somethin crazy like that...to high at any rate... J-Rat 05-27-2004, 03:57 AM I did that at 3000 ft above sea level.... :) Wanna see the slip? Go4Long 05-27-2004, 03:59 AM awesome...so I can hit 13's with pretty much what I have then hey? J-Rat 05-27-2004, 04:00 AM If you cant.. I win.. :iceslolan Go4Long 05-27-2004, 04:02 AM eat J-spec:P my car is a real one though...not just a swap...if it would just hurry up and be july already... late in july I will be out in vancouver and will run it out there too...see what I can get at sea level... J-Rat 05-27-2004, 04:04 AM J-spec, A-spec. No major difference. Here is the slip... Enjoy. http://www.rx7club.com/forum/attachment.php?s=&postid=2827013 Go4Long 05-27-2004, 04:05 AM haha...unauthorized linking pwns you...I will track it down over there...what is the A-Spec motor? australian? I am confused now...what is the difference in power between Jspec/Aspec and USDM J-Rat 05-27-2004, 04:07 AM Here is the thread: http://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=289624 No major differences in HP for ANY market. A J-Spec is going to net the same HP as an A-spec. BTW, I am running a J-Spec. Go4Long 05-27-2004, 04:08 AM so why does everyone brag about how they are doing a Jspec swap then? J-Rat 05-27-2004, 04:11 AM Beats me... Compression is the same, and the emissions controls are nearly identical. Who is bragging about it? Go4Long 05-27-2004, 04:13 AM well....maybe bragging is the wrong word...but people seem to be pretty proud of saying that they are swapping in a Jspec, and there was a thread on another board dedicated to some guys Jspec front clip...I was like wow...I am getting the whole car. J-Rat 05-27-2004, 04:42 AM I would be proud of getting a true right hand drive J-Spec car. Thats cool! flex339 05-27-2004, 05:18 AM that is a great 60ft time j-rat. The next time I go to the track I'd like to try to get low 2's. I haven't driven my car on the track yet. I did with my mustang, but I sucked off the line. Go4Long 05-27-2004, 05:26 AM here's pics of the car...it's in vancouver right now...mix up means it's not street legal till july...one more month of takin the bus http://www.importconcern.ca/stock/100020/ J-Rat 05-27-2004, 01:08 PM Thanks flex339... Go4Long, Thats one sweet ass ride! Go4Long 05-27-2004, 01:41 PM thanks...I really hope it runs as nice as it looks...the only people that have driven it so far are the people from the exporter in japan and the shipping company that brought it to vancouver. We are in the process of trying to move it from bonded storage in vancouver to storage here in calgary so that I can pick it up quicker in July. if we can make that happen we are going to get the shipping company to tell us how it runs in the process... J-Rat 05-27-2004, 01:51 PM Be careful.. Shipping companies are notorious for ragging on peoples cars. Go4Long 05-27-2004, 02:05 PM I know...I used to work for a couple different dealerships, it's funny how people honestly believe that if you pick your car up brand new from the dealership that it hasn't been bagged...sad dillusional people...the company that is shipping it out here for us is the same company that deals with all the dealerships in town...as much as I would love to think that they're mature enough to not bag on the car, I know if I was the driver, I would...so...just hope they don't break anything in the process... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
