I have a 1974 Dodge challenger w/ a 360 c.i. engine. I have 2 questions. First of all is there any thrust bushings or bearings in the camshaft installation? My second question is what was the original color of the 360 engine from the factory in 1974? Thanx!

I remember seeing a 360 in a '74 Barracuda, and I'm sure it had baby blue valve covers, but I'm not sure whether this was the original motor anyway. Usually if it's an old Mopar mill like this it's either baby blue or the orange...

On a 360 there is a thrust plate that bolts on to the block by three bolts, it also has an oil tab attached to oil the timing chain. Also, 74 has a blue engine.

I've built a '74 360 for my Ramcharger, but with the new aquisition of a '68 coronet the mill has a new home. The valve covers were baby blue as people have said, also, the oil pan was baby blue as well. I just wanted to post this to see if anyone has, or knows where i can find, the fuel pump eccentric that runs off of the cam and the woodruff key for the crank, the long one that runs through the balancer and crank pulley.
