Well I you are like me and a little disappointed in the power of your 4.7 litre. Cheer up because I have good news. I just installed a Jet Chip stage 2 chip on my completely stock 4.7 litre 4 dr 2002 Ram and man did it respond. The days of piss poor acceleration are definately over. If I punch it it reeves quickly up to about 5,300 rpm before it shifts. And this is completely stock. This is not the same truck. After cat is next along with K+N. If your 4.7 litre pisses you off when you get on it? GET THIS CHIP. You won't be disappointed.

Blow the motor while you're at it.

If you punch it, it should drop enough gears to make it rev that high anyways.

Higher revs doesn't necessarily mean more power...
