I have a set of iq 22 iridium denso spark plugs. I have a 91 accord ex and according to denso's website, the plugs for accord's are iq16, the # has to deal with the heat range and the higher the # the colder the range gets. My question is that I wanted to know will using plugs with a difft heat range have any negative effects.

if your engine temps aren't hot enough for colder plugs, the plugs will get fouled with carbon deposits. which means less plug life.

Go with the stock irridium plugs if your car is not modified. I am not famillar with that type of part number for the irridium so go to a parts store that carries irridium plugs (such as auto zone) and compare numbers on the plug with the irridium stock plugs they show you. They will also have a catolog that will show the heat ranges of the irridum plug if you ask to see it. If you are not running alot of high performance I would recomend ditching the denso irridium and getting standard denso's in the stock heat range.
