Does an aftermarket intake hurt the gas mileage of the 2.2? I want to help it breathe better but I don't want to kill the gas mileage. BTW I got an 03 with the automatic and a/c.

oh and by the way..my camaro is a 68 and it guzzles up gas like crazy lol

Yeah I'm worried about the gas mileage, because that is the whole reason why I bought it. What is the point of driving a 4 banger that if it going to get crappy mileage. I do realize that an intake is going to give you very little extra HP. So, it is not worth it to me to have this little bit of a HP gain if it going to wreck the mileage.

its not going to give you terrible gas mileage just a little bit of a decrease.

Actually you guys, according to Trunkin magazine, adding exhaust and intake will increase your fuel economy by as much as 10 percent for each item. The horsepower gain isn't really enough to do anything to the mileage, and the added air flow will make your engine run better and therefore increase gas mileage by letting it breath.
