Power WindowsJim Culkin 05-17-2004, 03:07 AM Hi, new to this forum, have a problem with my '93 S-10 Blazer. Is it possible that all 4 window motors can burn out at the same time? I have searched through the threads and nothing seems to match, the windows are not totally out, they will work about halfway, then have to wait a few minutes, sometimes 20 minutes for it to either go down or up the rest of the way. First thought is a circuit breaker, heats up, then when cools works, well changed the circuit breaker and fuse under dash, still same thing, there is a circuit breaker on each motor. I have torn away the cosmetics on door and was ready to pull out drivers door motor when I figured it has to be something else. Checked voltage and its getting 12 at drivers door, I found that everything has to run through the main switch at driver's door, is it possible that it is getting bad ground and knocking out the motors? Some rust on bottom of door. Or can it be just the one motor at driver's door and knocking out the other ones. When operating other door windows individually they do same as drivers door. Any suggestions appreciated. At 54 dollars a motor, I really don't want to try this and if that don't work try that, rather start at bottom. For anybody doing the motors themselves, here's a detailed how to: http://www.a1electric.com/s10motor.htm vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
