Progress: 1/43 Pagani Zonda RoadsterVeyron 05-14-2004, 03:26 PM Joining in the 1/43 scale mania! This car is one of my favorites and will prolly never be done in 1/24 scale so I decided to get this kit. :naughty: Made by Provence Moulage, it's very nice quality. Includes two sets of clear parts, lots of etch, alum. rims, and jewel like pieces for headlights and tail lights. http://infinite1der.org/~dino/paganikit1.jpg bigfrit 05-14-2004, 03:29 PM Supercool choice of subject! Although it 's no 1/24th I ll still be following this with great attention, as I think smaller = more difficult. and hey, difficulty is not a problem for you, is it ! Now what colour are you planning? Ciao Olivier Howielong 05-14-2004, 03:33 PM Seems to be a great looking kit. p9o1r1sche 05-14-2004, 03:36 PM Good looking kit. P/E inner door panels - nice. malsheem 05-14-2004, 03:45 PM Yes! I was hoping someone would start a progress thread on this kit. I love this car. 1:43 scares me (seems too small), but I am going to have to get this kit. I can't wait to see this one built. Brian, if you don't mind my asking, where did you order the kit from? I've checked around a few places, but no one seems to have one in stock. Veyron 05-14-2004, 03:56 PM Yes! I was hoping someone would start a progress thread on this kit. It sounds intresting. lotus_man 05-14-2004, 04:28 PM Nice, PM kits seem to have really upped their game in the last 18 months. This makes me want mine even faster! What color are you planning on doing it? Veyron 05-14-2004, 04:45 PM I like it in pearl yellow. mstngcobrasvt98 05-14-2004, 07:48 PM Very nice kit. I'd love to do this car as it has been a favorite of mine. Too bad its 50$ Keep the updates coming. mech0t0 05-14-2004, 08:10 PM Thanks for sharing this kit to us! Just one little note: this photoetch is very hard to cut!!! Good luck and keep us posted! malsheem 05-14-2004, 09:23 PM I got it here: AutoSportif (http://www.autosportif.com/) Cool. Thanks for the link. Just order one for me. It'll be my first resin kit and 1:43 kit. Pearl yellow will look great on the car. levincer 05-15-2004, 05:16 AM Hi Veyron, The website is very good, lots lots of tentation :uhoh: but, i've never did a model on that scale (1:43) is it harder or easier than the 1:24 ? Tanx. Veyron 05-15-2004, 06:20 AM Hi Veyron, The website is very good, lots lots of tentation :uhoh: but, i've never did a model on that scale (1:43) is it harder or easier than the 1:24 ? Tanx. It seems the same, just have to be careful with paint thickness as panel lines and other details are small. Definitely a job for the airbrush. Other than that, use the same basic rules of modeling. levincer 05-15-2004, 06:27 AM [QUOTE=Veyron]Definitely a job for the airbrush.QUOTE] Thanksfully i asked as i'm only able to work with spray can these days, i'll have to learn airbrush :disappoin Tanx for the advice. Ps : l'm looking every hours after the miura 400 update :) lotus_man 05-15-2004, 04:35 PM You can do 1:43 with a rattle can, it just takes practice! If the panel lines look to thin, open them up with a scribber. They'll go back to scale as youput the paint on. Airbrush is best though... Gainsbourg 05-15-2004, 05:04 PM The Zonta is such a beautiful and fast car. I’m also a great fan of it. Although this is not a 1/24 thread I will fallow it with much interest. GT-Alex 05-15-2004, 10:06 PM The zonda is a wonderfull car, and the kit looks awesome (PE door panels ?). I'm sure it will be very nice in yellow. Veyron 05-16-2004, 10:22 AM So many projects...so little time! :screwy: Number one lesson in building resin kits is none of the parts are precision fit so you must prefit everything. Had to remove a lot of material from the bottom of the dash and transmission tunnel to get the dash in properly. In building these kits, if there are any holes that a part is suppose to fit in you must chack that fit and drill the hole to the correct size. Drilling it oversize is a good idea because some of the hole will be filled by paint. So here it is with wings, chassis, dash, seats, roll bars fitted and panel lines deepened. http://infinite1der.org/~dino/paganimock1.jpg GTmike400 05-16-2004, 10:24 AM Amazing work so far! mike united 05-16-2004, 10:26 AM :22yikes: Lookin Good !!!
