Come Back!!!!3000ways 05-13-2004, 08:28 PM Many cars have came and gone, some of these cars have been bad ass such as the Supra, Buick Grand National, or BMW 8 Series. Still if you had the power to bring back 5 cars that went out of production from any car manufactuer, which 5 would you choose? MITSU-EVO 05-13-2004, 09:05 PM Damn, I want the 8-series to be reborn in particular...Good old days Prelewd 05-13-2004, 11:59 PM word.. -BMW 8 series -Nissan 300zx -Jaguar XK-E -Honda Prelude -Datsun 510 Zanark 05-14-2004, 12:50 AM Hmm didnt they bring back the 6 series just recently? Or some crap idk saw it on car and driver. And they need to bring back the AWD Turbo Celica, the Supra but at a cheaper price lol, and uh well every single Hatch back that was awesome that they replaces with a "coupe". Including the Corolla GT-S(Lexus IS just Sucks ass here in the states) The older style Audi coupe not that new awfull driving fire trap. the Mazda AWD hatches, hell a Hatch Mustang was bad ass to and out handled alot of things. And screw a New camaro, The old ones sucked in handeling and so did the newer ones. It made them no money it was a good choice to cut them. But Pontiac musta been on crack when they made the GTO o_O. I mean hell it looks like a waterd down Grand Prix lol. Its an ok handling car though not as nice as a vette but just normallish driven like an older Z yah know? Ide love to have a Roomy RWD hatchback. That new Dodge Slingshot shit looks promising cept they need to turbo charge it and stay away with stuffing a Hemi in it lol. Jimster 05-14-2004, 12:53 AM Prelude (An uneccesary demise) 8 Series Toyota Supra Mitsubishi 3000GT Renault Avantime (So I'd have something to laugh at) Zwrangler 05-14-2004, 08:08 AM 5 cars that i would really love to see come back are: 1. obviously the Camaro and other f-bod's 2. Toyota Supra 3. Mazda RX7 (the rx 8 is a real disappointment in comparison) 4. Nissan 300zx (awesome power, awesome looks) the 350Z is kinda its older brother though. 5. Honda CRX (big potential) I read mitsubishi may be going out of business so soon this list of cars gone will also include the great mitsubish Evolution sadly. blindside.AMG 05-14-2004, 08:27 AM - 8-series - Dodge RamCharger - Dodge Charger And while Chrysler's at it, bring back Plymouth with a Barracuda and Road Runner. :iceslolan 3000ways 05-14-2004, 11:14 AM Oh crap I forgot to post my 5- 1) Mitsubishi 3000GT/Dodge Stealth 2) Mazda RX-7 3) Buick Grand National GNX 4) Chevrolet Camaro 5) Toyota Supra kfoote 05-14-2004, 12:38 PM In order of what's needed: 1: Camaro/Firebird 2: Toyota Supra 3: Acura NSX 4: Maserati Biturbo 5: Mitsubishi 3000GT I left out the RX7 only becaust there have been rumors that Mazda is actually developing a new RX7 for 2006 or so. Yeah so did I, the one with exposed head lights? http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/overview.aspx?modelid=11038&src=LeftNav youngvr4 05-14-2004, 05:04 PM isn't the 350z the new 300zx? wasn't it a transformation. even mags spoke on it being the evolving 300zx just as the rx-8 is suppose to be the evolved rx-7 3000ways 05-14-2004, 06:07 PM isn't the 350z the new 300zx? wasn't it a transformation. even mags spoke on it being the evolving 300zx just as the rx-8 is suppose to be the evolved rx-7 Yes the 350Z is the evolution of the Z model, I guess people just want the Twin Turbo option back. The RX-8 is sort of the evolution of the RX-7 model, except it's a 4 door/4 seater version. Mazda has said they planned on building a new generation RX-7, then they say no, then they say yes again, then no, so who knows, hopefully it will come back, because Mazda said it would all depend on the RX-8s sells, and yes the RX-8 is actually selling well. Could this be it, I'm not sure if I like it. http://www.autothing.com/funthings/SpyShots/funthings-spyshot07MazdaRX7.htm Prelewd 05-14-2004, 10:04 PM Yes the 350Z is the evolution of the Z model, I guess people just want the Twin Turbo option back. It's more of a continuation of the 280z, 260z, and 240z that fall along the principles of great handling, semi-powerful sports car at cheap price. If it were a continuation of the 300zx, it would be a 350zx, more expensive, more luxurious, more powerful and more of a supercar all around. As for that supposedly new RX-7.. too bland, too tall. EDIT: changing my Camaro response to the Datsun 510. freakonaleash1187 05-15-2004, 03:24 AM here is my list: 1. 300ZX (of course) 2. rx-7 (dont like rx-8, why four-doors, not a sports car!) 3. supra those are the only three. i agree with prelewd about the z. it seems nissan went back to the narrow looking hatchback styling with the 350z. 4. 3000ways 05-15-2004, 04:21 AM I have to disagree about the 350z being a continuation of the 300zx. BMW 8-Series (I want a V12 BMW sports car out there again) 2. A Toyota Sports Car of any kind, preferably close to the Supra MKIV 3. A 2 door Mazda Sports Car, what the RX8 shoulda been 4. BMW M1, or some other +$100,000 BMW 5. ... youngvr4 05-16-2004, 12:41 AM i hope they never bring back the vr4 Prelewd 05-16-2004, 04:17 AM You misunderstood me, I didn't say evolution of 300ZX, I said the evolution of the Z model. My fault.. I just thought you meant 300zx because you mentioned the twin turbo. 3000ways 05-16-2004, 11:12 AM My fault.. I just thought you meant 300zx because you mentioned the twin turbo. It's cool, sorry if it seems like I have an attitude, can't get these icons and stuff to work on these forums so I guess I'll just use the old ghetto way =) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
