Anybody know how many gallons the gas tank in a Dakota R/T is? I'm looking to purchase one and I was interested in finding out. Thanks in advance.

I believe it's 20 gallons on those trucks. 75 litres. I think.

Thanks for the quick reply. The reason I was asking is because I was searching Autotrader.com and found an ad. for an R/T that claimed it had a 15 gallon gas tank. I knew it didn't quite sound right, especially with the notoriously bad gas mileage those things get.

Give me a few minutes and I can verify this for you...

I just checked the owner's manual for my truck and it says 26 gallons or 98 litres for short wheelbase, and all others are 35 gallons or 132 litres.

26 gallons.

Nice, thanks. You drive an R/T?

No but I know that they use the same size tanks between trucks. My truck is a 1500. I have a friend who had a '99 R/T though, that was a very fast truck but it was reposessed eventually. I wouldn't mind owning one.
