Well I'm a frequent vistor to the drag strip, have been for the past three years. When I had my VR4 I was a regular participant, but now I am just observer of something I love. Anyhow a couple weeks ago went down to Carlsbad Racing to spectate the Saturday Drags. Saw some nice cars there including two Buick Grand National, 800HP Turbo Viper, and a BMW M5. Well there was also an EVO, and what a great car, just a purposeful get you down the 1/4 mile fast car, no big burn outs, just line up and go. Anyways, this particular EVO was very fast, it's best time was a 12.2 if I believe and it ran down the strip 7 times and went 7-0. It beat a BMW M5 twice, Buick Grand National, Supercharged Mustang GT, MazdaSpeed Protege, Acura Integra, and a Toyota Matrix. Who ever had a Yellow EVO racing at Carlsbad two weeks ago, great job.

Yea Evo's are fast stock, but with just a few grand u can run amazing times. It's just the whole high-rev launching that will eventually make u put new clutches in every now n then.
