HXOC took a trip down to Cassville, Missouri last weekend (about 8 miles from Arkansas, about 40 from Oklahoma). Here's a pic of my truck:

What you can't see in that picture is the B.A.R. (Big Ass Rock) that was so kind as to reshape my new Nissan exhaust when I backed into it. :)

More pictures of the trip are available HERE (http://photos.hxoc.net/gallery/jan02xcursion). We didn't get a whole lot of the "good trails", as they were pretty sustained rockcrawling. The picture title "Chris going down the rock wall" is the largest obstacle. I would have liked to try going back up, but it didn't work out that way. If you look closely, you may also see my almost finished ARB Fog Light Mod. More pictures of that are available HERE (http://photos.hxoc.net/gallery/arbfoglightmod). I'll do a full writeup when I'm done.

Nice job on the light mod. Just curious, do people break the lenses a lot? We must have 10 ARB's in our club now, and I haven't seen anyone break one yet.

Chris! I like those light mods! I spaced, but what mig welder are you using to do the work with?

I haven't heard of anyone breaking their fig lights when they're IN the bumper, but I know they can break off easily if mounted to the underside of the ARB. I just wanted a strong way to mount them in the bumper (and the Mad Max look is cool, too). I used a Millermatic 175 to do the welding, a oxy-acetylene torch to do the cutting, and an angle grinder for just about everything else. Rust-Oleum black auto primer coats it until I get the whole thing Herculined (after the body lift and new mounting brackets).

Duh! Ok, I get it. I thought it was all for the turn indicators. You have your fogs in there. Yes definitely worth protecting. Nice mod, in that you've resolved the angle problem with the arb. Definitely do a writeup.
