which would you choose for a street car, to go out at night and race if these were your only choices, the ford svt contour subaru svx or the base model 300zx?

svx all the way...just because its pretty badass looking, and handles well

there is a turbo kit for it too, makes decent power

the tranny has problems, depending on the years....which sucks....but I would deal with it, infact there is a way you can mate a WRX tranny to it and thus...eliminate the problems.

300ZX because well... it just looks better. And more potential I would think too.

never seen this before?

i personally would go with the svt contour, they have a supercharger for it and i've seen it in action, good power and nice grip of the line.

Unfortunantly I haven't. Ironically I've seen more ferrari's and viper's than that Subaru. With that said I go with the 300zx, I find it quite attractive :naughty:

If I had no other option but these three cars I would take the Fairlady ZX TT. Fastest of the group and the best looking IMO.

lol, they are rare cars, even more rare than my car, i think i see a svx as often as i see a supra.

Oh, then you're referring to the 300Z. The 300ZX was turbo and the 300Z was N/A.

I would still take the Z.

I see so there IS a reason that I haven't seen that car before. I just thought my little shit hole area wasn't blessed enough for it's presence, BTW, what are it's specs?

then why is it that the n/a "300z" say 300zx on the back?

That's easy the Subaru SVX. It would be the perfect sleeper.

Contour. The SVX is ... well... gross looking. Just my opinion... sorry.

The 300ZX is cool though... got a ride in a twin turbo version of one around Willow Springs raceway two years ago... was a blast.

The Z. There's a reason the SVX didn't make it big.

Contour SVT by a long shot. I drove the '98 SVT when I was shopping for my SS. Those things are fast as hell and the V6 sings to you at 5000rpms.

The handling was also crisp and responsive.

The 300ZX is the best looking by far but NA they are slow assed cars. Also, the SVX is a nice looking car and quite powerfull, but good luck getting parts for one.

a 300zx N/A is not a slow ass car. it might not be the TT but its decently fast. i bet you it would kick a lot honda, mustang v6,camarosv6 and other cars's asses.

I've always like the 300Z and the SVX. For me it would come down between the two and I'd lean toward the SVX. The 300 wouldn't be right without being the top of the line model.

Yeah but those Honda's and V6's are also slow. The 300Z NA isnt very quick at all. But then again, as far as im concerned, if a car isnt at least in the 14's stock, its slow.

If it wasn't for one major issue, IMO it would be close between the SVX and the Z, but I believe the SVX was only available with and automatic transmission, and thus loses out to the Z.

do you guys actually know what the svt contour's specs are and what its capable of?

Why in the hell would you get a N/A 300zx?? That goes for the subaru too. Turbo cars are much easier to mod, because its cheaper to turn up boost and get other parts. Keep in mind a stock 300zx turbo would run with my car stock, but also keep in mind that my car is definitly not stock.

It's even got the little supercar style windows that only the bottom half roll down! OMG WOW GSFDA!!!!111one

What more do I have to say? STi 6 speed with DCCD + twin turbo SVX = I just got off thinking about it

The Z. There's a reason the SVX didn't make it big.

The reason is cuz most people aren't nearly cool enough to handle that car

Hmm, sounds like ignorance. You know very little about Subaru or Dodge. I would suggest not making biased unfounded comments like that.

dodge has had documaented trouble with almost every truck they have ever made, thier trannies do not hold up to the power they put down. if you read magazines at all they all complain that the neons transmission is its only problem. ecvery time i hear about someone putting any power to the ground in a wrx they blow thier tranny. i have two friends that have replaced thier 2.5 rs trannies because they are made very cheaply.... so i am just talking from experience....

i did make it out as a joke but if you are going to be like this...
