im thinking the datsun. its gonna be a bitch to fab up the whole rear end and make room to fit.

im gonna use this Z as my insparation. its got a tt V8 out of a Q45. but im still gonna use the 2jz

why are you putting the supra rear in it? :eek7: and if so why the datsun rear will fit the drive shaft after a little cutting and glueing.

Put the 2JZ-GTE in a Lotus Super 7. Add extra weight to the back to maintain balance.

:eek2:

Wait, add weight to a Lotus? That can't be right. Just "upgrade" the suspension and let it be unbalanaced. ;)

Or put the engine exactly midship and make the driver sit with it between his legs. That'll keep his right leg warm on those cold British nights, at least.

And then add some lightness.

im also thinking it would look very good in an is300 or altezza, but there are no kits of it that i like :frown:

well the lexus IS300 has the 2jz-ge in it already so it wouldnt be a hard swap.

ya but they r all curb-side so there is no engine compartment detail, so it would be harder

Anything but a Civic.

Maybe a late model S14?

Chasser? Blitz?

But i guess its up to you in the end. :)

I like seeing the drivetrains mated w/ the same brand chassis.

with the datsun being a Nissan, theres no reason to use a Toyota drivetrain? :dunno:

I think you should do an Alteeza w/ engine detail seeing as you already have the spare engine. or a 4WD celica from tamiya, already has engine detail and the 2JZ would be HOT in there.

but do what you like best. just my :2cents:

i agree with u totally.( althought i did build a datsun 510 with a S/C v8 in it). im just building this cuz iv got exames and need something to do. so when i can get down to a shop im gonna get a AE86 and put another 2JZ in it. now that will be HOT! i doubt a car like that could go strait if it wanted to.

Well the Top Secret (the tuner shop in Japan) Supra uses the RB26 motor out of the Nissan Skyline. (The white one, not the gold one, which uses an I4 out of I think an MR2).

Put it in ANYTHING but a Honda. Any motor built to take 800 HP on a factory shortblock should'nt be put in a Civic. As much as I like Hondas, I still think it's a bad idea.
I would put it in something that's already RWD, like the Datsun you mentioned, or put it in an AE86 like someone mentioned earlier.
Either way, it's gonna be a great car, good luck.

ok, the only thing going ok with this car is the interior and the motor. the chassie sucks( ride height looks like a monster truck) and the body is ok but i forgot and used testors primer and tamiya paint( iv never seen so much cracking in my life) so im gonna pull the 2JZ out and put the stock motor in. im gonna save the 2JZ and put it in an AE86.

I dunno, a transverse-mounted (sideways, if I spelled it wrong) I6 JACCS or PIAA Accord would be eye-catching... either FWD or M/R WD.

He||, it I had an extra Supra motor, I'd drop it in my next project car car... either the Toyota minivan (white on the box, slammed and w/20" rims.. don't know what it's called, though) or the Honda Oddessey made by Ashomio-something....(I forget the name) with the bodykit, slammed and also with 20" rims.

hehe, i have 2 supra motors both of witch are going into toyota hilux mini trucks in the near future. i also have a spare rb26dett that might be going in a bodydropped pathfinder soon also.
