vtec contrller is not worth making or gettign unless u mod ur engine like turbo cams new internals etc.

For those of us who aren't too lazy to get up and do something, its fun to work on your car and make it faster. I don't mind spending the money if I should, but things that require cutting a few wires and putting it together doesn't make someone a freeloader/cheapskate, does it?

umm a vtec controller has no bearing on your internals.....pistons and rods .. Vtec is in the head buddy..and altering your Vtec engaugment doesnt rely on built internals

I'm not sure there is a diy way to do it, but if your engine is stock it shouldn't really matter too much anyways. If you set vtec engagement too low, the rpms won't be high enough to make use of the higher valve lift and extra fuel added. You will lose power for a second then start gaining it back around the stock engagement point. Just leave it, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

i dont think altering ur vtec position (when it kickin in) is a wise thing to be done, considering u have the stock engine parts with standard mods on it, ie: intake, exhaust.
however, if u mod ur internals, then.. its a different story. different internals results in different characteristic in combustion system. so yea.. some alteration is needed.
so if u still have normal mods on it, no body know the engine behaviour better than the honda him self.
my opinion... :)
